Wildlife Conservancy's spectacular natural setting with quiet
surroundings makes it ideal for small, intimate events. We have hosted
weddings, parties, conferences, team building and conservation
workshops. Up to 44 or more guests can can be accommodated in 22 rooms
between Kigio Wildlife Camp and Malewa WIldlife lodge.
Weddings
Kigio + Malewa has organised lovely small weddings. We can take care
of everything from catering and priests to flowers and decorations.
Our beautiful surrounding reduce the need for any extravagant decor -
simple flower arrangements are sufficient to create a warm and elegant

A day full of fun
Here are some of the more
exciting and result driven team building activities that we can
organize with our facilitator.
-
Trust Circle/ Fall – this is trust activity where the group is
standing in a circle and they get to fall on the hands of the rest
of the group. It allows the team to learn about leaning on each
other at the work environment.
-
Traffic Jam – The participants are each standing on a square and in
almost equal numbers stand in a semi circle facing each other. They
have to exchange sides using the rules given by the facilitator. The
aim of this activity is to learn about communication and listening.
-
Pipe Line – Participants are divided into 2 groups, they are given a
limited number of pipes and they have to transport a marble from
point A to point B, if they drop it they go back to the beginning
and start again.
-
Nuclear fence – the whole group has to go over a rope without
touching it and without losing physical contact with each other.
They learn how to strategize and work with a plan.
-
River of confusion - the whole group using small pieces of wood
moves from point A to point B without stepping on the ground. The
aim of this activity is to learn patience and strategy.
-
Mine Field – everybody gets a partner, one partner is blindfolded
the other partner has to talk the blinded one thru a ‘minefield’
without stepping on the ‘mines’
-
Spiders Web the group is given a challenge of going through a web
that is made of rope without touching the sides. They have to figure
out who will go through which hole and make sure the whole team gets
to the other side.
-
Human Knot – the group stands in a circle and holds the hands of
the person on the opposite side. They end up twisting themselves and
they have to untwist that mess without letting go of the hands they
are holding.
NB/ A
video camera would be nice to capture good moments for the day.

Educational Trips

We
organize school educational trips to Kigio to include return
transfers, FB accommodation, a day game drive, Cons/Fees and a
community visit. We accommodate the children in groups of 4’s and 5’s
with the teachers sharing with them.
Ideally, the children are engaged in various activities while at Kigio.
During the community visit, they learn how to make baskets from sisal
and necklaces from old magazines. They find this very innovative and
are always keen to learn.
We
also give them a lecture on ecolodge, conservation, tourism and
environment. It leaves a lasting impression on the children. At the
end of their stay, we award them certificates for actively
participating in Eco Projects conducted by Kigio Wildlife Camp or
Malewa Wildlife lodge
Previous trips:
Aga Khan Junior Academy (2009 & 2011) |
